Norman Amelong

(Buz Amelong) Norman "Buz" Amelong, of Foristell, Missouri, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the age of 76. Cherished husband of June C. Amelong; dear son of the late Henry Lee and Charlotte Amelong; loving father of Cindy (Bill) Sylvester and the late Craig Amelong; beloved grandfather of Austin and Ryan Sylvester. He was our dear cousin, nephew, brother-in-law and friend to all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Amelong and sister, Betty Knott. Buz was employed with General Motors for 30 years before his retirement. He never met a stranger, ever staying busy helping people and fixing whatever needed to be done. He served with the US Army having received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
