Norman G. McGee, Sr.
March 14, 1925 — June 8, 2015
McGee, Sr., Norman G., of St. Peters, MO, died on Monday, June 8, 2015, at the age of 90. Loving husband of 71 years to Erma McGee; beloved son of the late Earl McGee and Viola Cross; devoted father of Dr. Norman (Sharon) McGee, Jr., Brenda (James) Fiala, and Marleen Catanzaro; cherished grandfather of Dawn Gnuse, Angie (Todd) Sundhausen, Steven (Amy) Fiala, Michael (Wendy) McGee, and Steven (Dr. Andrea) Fifield; cherished great-grandfather of Samantha, Mackenzie, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Katarina, Dagny, Levin, and Moira; dear brother of Thomas (Pauline) McGee and Sharon (Don) Lilly; and loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his sister Joann.
Norman proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, he was a PFC in Company B 381st infantry 96th division, he received 2 bronze stars, good conduct medal, and received a Purple Heart after being wounded on April 2, 1945 in Okinawa, Japan. He retired from Burlington Northern Railroad after 34 years and was a member of the Railway Union, VFW post 4105 in Florissant, MO, and a member of First Baptist Church in Ferguson.
