Norman J. Henderson

Norman (Joe) Henderson, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Devoted husband of Janet Henderson, beloved son of the late Norman and Wanda Henderson; devoted father of Karen Ann (Scott) Thompson, and Brian Joseph (Dave) Henderson. Preceded in death by sisters Katherine (Don) Davis, Shirley (Harry) Sutherland, Audrey (Jim) Spain. Survived by sisters Eleanor (Dick) McCord, and Sarah (Tom) Thurman. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Joe was a Veteran, and was proud to have served his country, even overseas. He worked in many different jobs over the years, but most involved driving trucks. He could drive almost any type of truck he was asked to. He was a gifted woodworker, and made many different pieces throughout the years. The thing he most loved to build were booster chairs with the child’s name engraved. Selling and gifting these chairs always brought him great joy. He was a very social person, and there was almost no one that he encountered that didn’t immediately become a friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joe’s name to the American Lung Association, St. Louis, MO.
