Olivia Baum

May 12, 1997 — June 4, 2024

St. Charles, Missouri

Olivia Danielle Baum passed away on June 4, 2024 surrounded by her family and friends at the tender age of 27.  Olivia is survived by her parents, Ron and Jane Baum, her sister, Kaitlyn (Michael) Greenberg, her brother, Josh (Megan) Baum, her three nieces, Ryan, Ansleigh, and Leighton, her nephew, Austin, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Olivia attended United Services Preschool, and she graduated from Orchard Farm School District where she was supported, loved, and cared for by the entire school community.  After graduation, Olivia enjoyed spending time at Community Living day programs.  Olivia was so incredibly fortunate to have several caregivers throughout her life that continue to remain dear to the family.

Despite her health challenges, Olivia found enjoyment in the little things in life that many typically take for granted.  Olivia adored listening to her music, regularly attending Church, traveling to the beach almost every year of her life, ripping wrapping paper and duct tape, hearing the sounds of motorcycles and airplanes, swimming, rocking in rocking chairs, wind blowing in her face while riding in her father’s Mustang convertible, taking walks around her neighborhood, riding the school bus and running through the school halls, being frightened and thrilled by someone during a game of hide-and-seek, and seeing herself in the mirror.  Her nieces and nephew could make her laugh and bring her joy even on bad days.  Her playful dog, Molly, became an essential part of Olivia’s life 8 years ago, and they had been quite inseparable ever since.

Saint John Paul II came to St. Louis in 1999 and graciously provided Olivia with a private blessing, an unforgettable event for the entire Baum family and extended community.  Olivia’s shining light and contagious smile have been an inspiration to many.  Olivia’s memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.  Whether you knew her intimately or not, Olivia would undoubtedly leave you with a lasting impression.  She was a gift from God, and she changed for the better all whom she encountered.  The lessons Olivia taught her loved ones, and the truly positive impacts upon all, will never be forgotten.

Memorials may be made in Olivia's honor to Orchard Farm School District Special Education Department or Community Living Inc.
