VanBooven, Orval H., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the age of 88. Loving husband Vera E. VanBooven (nee: Eikel) of 62 years; beloved son of the late Otto and Martha VanBooven; devoted father of Terry D. (Christine) VanBooven, Glenn M. (Sherry) VanBooven, Daniel J. (Angela) VanBooven; dear father-in-law of Vicki VanBooven; cherished grandfather of Michael, Britney, Emily, Brian, Zachary, Brandi, Rachael, Jennifer, Kristin, Kayla, and Kathryn; dear brother of Darlene Winkelmann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas B. VanBooven and sister Ida Mae Scheidegger.
Orval was employed with McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) and retired in 1992 with 36 years of service. He served his country in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War. Orval loved STL Cardinals and was a Mr. Fix-it. He enjoyed gardening and spending time at the Family Farm. Orval's greatest love was his family, his grandchildren were very special to him. Orval has graciously donated his body to St. Louis University School of Medicine.
