Oscar “Skin” Probst, Jr.

Oscar “Skin” Probst, Jr., of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the age of 89. Loving husband of Alma Probst; devoted father of Jeanne (Rich) Yount, Michael Probst, Becky (Skip) Tucker, and Ric (Lori) Probst; cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren. Oscar is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Caroline Probst; parents Oscar L. Sr. and Ruth Probst (nee Vessells); two sisters Shirley Mecker, and Jean Carol Probst.

Oscar proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1950-1953, during the Korean War. He was a life member of the American Legion post 323, AMVETS Post 106, VFW (Perryville), and a member of the 40-8 Club. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 313, Honor Guard Commander for 15+ years with American Legion Post 313. Oscar proudly worked at McDonnel Douglas for 39+ years as a Tool and Die Maker. He loved to go fishing and hunting on his property outside of Americus, MO. This was his favorite home away from home. Oscar was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
