Othella M. Pierce

Othella M. Pierce (nee Mincey), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Raymond Floyd Pierce; beloved daughter of the late Cecil and Alta Mincey; dear sister of Bobby C. (Marilyn) Mincey; devoted mother of Raymond Mark (Anita) Pierce, and Cathy (Steve) Windes; cherished grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of eleven, and great-great grandmother of six. Othella is also preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Charlotte Pierce, Anita Jean (Guy) Perkins, Ramona Lynn Pierce; sister, Laura (Herman) Luke; and grandsons Steven Windes Jr. and Russell Pierce. 

Othella was a founding member of Fairmount General Baptist Church, established around 1954, where she was an active member, including serving as the song director. After retiring from a banking career in the 1980s, she dedicated even more time to the church and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Raymond. Othella had a passion for puzzles, reading, and dominoes, and she cherished singing and playing the piano so much that she taught piano lessons from her home. Active in the Missionary Ladies and Senior Group at church, she was always involved in games and activities. Othella was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Othella's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Fairmount General Baptist Church.
