Memorials may be made to the Community Loving Care Hospice. OTTLINGER, Patricia “Pat” Anne, beloved by her family, quietly left us on Friday morning, September 28, 2007, succumbing to a long illness. She reached out and touched people in her daily life as well as in her role as a school teacher, church worker, public speaker and probation officer. Born in Anderson, Indiana in 1925, she overcame many physical problems including Polio. After her first marriage, Patricia worked her way through college and received a BS degree in teaching from Butler University while raising two small children. She taught regular classes in Indianapolis, and then served as a Juvenile Probation Officer in Marion County. Patricia married John Ottlinger in 1963, and the family moved to St. Charles in 1967 where she taught Special Education. Her passion for church and children led Patricia to teach Sunday school classes at Faith United Methodist Church where she was an active Lay Speaker. She was on the team of the first Emmaus Woman’s Walk in St. Charles County. Patricia was active in politics and was elected Republican Committeewoman for many years. She was interested in Genealogy and was a member of the Mayflower Society and Alden Kindred. Patricia is survived by her husband, John A. Ottlinger, sons David L. and Dan W. White, daughters-in-law Barbara J., Nikki and Barbara White; grandchildren, David J.C., John P.C. and Cody E. White, granddaughter-in-law. Stephanie White and great-grandsons, Remington A. and Carson P. White.
