Patricia Ann (Patty) Dickson, affectionately known as “Mrs. Dickson” to hundreds of high school algebra/math students at St. Charles High and Duchesne High School, has passed away peacefully at home in St. Charles, MO at the age of 95. Patty is survived by her two daughters, Sally (Paul Nesting) Dickson and Susie (Mark) Morgan, and five grandchildren, Jake, Joe, Henry and Charlie Morgan and Katy Dickson, bonus grandson David Castaneda, her daughter-in-law, Mary LePique Dickson, and several nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Charles Dickson, son Patrick Dickson, and her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Eisman.
Born in 1928 to Jake and Katie Deheck in Terre Haute, Indiana, she excelled in school. She majored in Math and Science at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, graduating in 1950 at the top of her class. After student teaching in rural Indiana, she married Charles Dickson and together they moved to St. Louis while Charles finished his studies at Parks College, and she began teaching at St. Charles High. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and teaching algebra.
She excelled at anything requiring precision, and had hidden talents as a seamstress, upholsterer, and artist. But most of all she cherished her children, her family, and her faith. Arrangements are being made through Baue Funeral Home and interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Patricia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Patricia's name to the Academy of the Sacred Heart General Scholarship Fund.
