Patricia Ellen Schaffer

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research. Beloved wife of the late Bernard W. Schaffer; dear long time companion of 25 years to the late Frank W. Hitchings; mother of five; grandmother of thirteen and great grandmother of two. Patricia was born November 15th, 1930 in Bessemer, MI. She married Bernard W. Schaffer in 1949. She attended the University of MI and graduated in 1961. Patricia began teaching in 1961 and continued for three decades. She was active in the Women’s Republican Party. Patricia was a member of the P.T.A., A.A.U.W., New Comer’s Club, Women’s Republican Party, and the Certified Teacher’s Association. Patricia is preceded in death by Mary Agnes Halama and James Anthony Halama; dear sister of the late James Macadam Halama and William Halama. Patricia is survived by Sally and Emil Koslica, James and Dolores Schaffer, Ellie Burgstead, Ann and Victor Preli, Patricia J. Webb, Matthew and Angela Collins, Erin Collins, Tricia Collins, Sally Neske, Mary Neske, Albert Preli, Victoria Preli, Byron Schaffer, Katherine Schaffer, Sarah Schaffer, Emily Burgstead, Patrick Collins and Brogan Collins.
