Patricia Jeanette Maxey

MAXEY, Patricia Jeanette, Sherwood, Arkansas (Formerly of St. Charles, MO) December 31, 2004, 1:30AM, age 81, born August 21, 1923; grew up into early adulthood in Oklahoma City, OK and she felt a strong attachment to that state. Her father, William, born in 1873, was a homesteader in the land rush of 1890 before Oklahoma Statehood. Her mother Lydia, born in 1890 was the central figure in her life. Mrs. Maxey attended Okla-homa A&M, now Oklahoma State, in the early 40’s, married Robert Wayne Maxey on July 20, 1947 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage before he passed on Sept. 14, 1997. Mrs. Maxey is survived by brothers Jack (Mina) & Charles (Sue) of Lubbock and Georgetown, Texas respectively, daughter Reesa Varone of St. Charles, Robert Maxey, Jr. (Kathy) of Columbia, MO and William Bradford (JoAnn) of Little Rock, AR. Preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Bob, a Rail Roader. She is the beloved grandmother of Craig, Andrea, Laura, Emily and Leah, great-grandmother of 6; also survived by a special friend and caregiver, Mary Eggan and loved by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maxey was a member of the Bogey Hills Country Club and First United Methodist Church, St. Charles, MO.
