Patricia M. Martin

Patricia "Patti" M. Martin (nee Malta), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Robert “Rob Bob” E. Martin, cherished daughter of the late Dominic and Dolores Malta; devoted mother of Robyn (Bob) Mertens, and Kelli Martin; loving grandmother of David (Ashley) Best, Robby Mertens, Benjamin (Sienna) Tegeler, Teagan Dolan, Nicholas Mertens, Christopher Mertens; precious great-grandmother of Chase Best, Emersyn Best, Otto Tegeler, Edith Tegeler, Ira Tegeler, Milo Tegeler; dear sister of Barbara Malta, and Michael (Ann Regal) Malta. 

Patti was a kind and nurturing woman who always put others before herself. She dedicated over 30 years as an educator, shaping the foundation of young minds with guidance and education through the St. Charles City School District. Patti carried her passion for education as a founding member of the Ethical Society, where she created their curriculum. In her free time, Patti loved reading books, specifically those written by James Patterson, or about the Appalachian and the black bear population there or researching genealogy. She also enjoyed traveling and gardening. Patti often spent time at the lake, whether it was the Lake of the Ozarks or Big Cedar at Tablerock. She was adventurous, collecting rocks everywhere she went, and had a sanctuary full of memories. Patti was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
