Patricia G. McLaughlin

Patricia “Pat” McLaughlin (nee Gorog), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at the age of 80. Loving wife of 50 years to the late Ronald McLaughlin; beloved daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Gorog; dear sister of the late Kenneth Gorog; treasured aunt of Brian (Lisa) Gorog and Tim (Lindsay) Cronin. Pat is also survived by her many great nieces and great nephews that she loved to dote on.  

Pat was a fun-loving, out-going, and caring woman with a great sense of style.  She loved to shop, especially for her great nieces and great nephews. 

Pat retired after more than 30 years as a secretary for various companies. Upon retirement, she and her husband were free to travel and be as adventurous as ever. They loved to travel and visited destinations all around the world, including Alaska, Australia, England, Ireland, Hawaii, Switzerland, and across the United States. She also made sure she joined the local YMCA wherever she lived, and she attended regularly to keep herself active.  

As a woman of many talents, Pat was a great cook, with a taste for New Orleans cuisine. She was a native of New Orleans and always looked forward to attending Mardi Gras and the Jazz Festivals. Pat enjoyed knitting and made blankets for everyone in her family.  She also enjoyed being outdoors and was passionate about tending to her gardens. 

Pat was a huge sports fan who followed the New Orleans Saints, St. Louis Blues Hockey, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians.   

Pat was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or American Diabetes Association.
