Patricia “Tip” A. McCourt

Patricia “Tip” A. McCourt (nee Kennedy), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Edwin D. McCourt; beloved daughter of the late Edward J., Sr. and Alvina Kennedy; cherished Aunt of William "Bill" H. (Jackie) Jr., Christine, Sandy, Eddy, Michelle, Patrick, Susan, Maureen, Colleen, Kathy, Michael, and Theresa; Patricia is also preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Kennedy Jr., and Robert J. Kennedy; sisters, Joan Schilligo, and Dorothy Pound.

Patricia was a member of Missouri State University Retired Teachers Association as well as a member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She loved traveling, especially to Mexico. She went into the convent at the age of 15, finished high school in the convent, and was a nun for 25 years. Patricia graduated from St. Louis University with a master’s degree in English. She started her career teaching elementary school and finishing her career teaching high school. Patricia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Patricia's name to School Sisters of Notre Dame.
