Patsy Ruth Chambers (nee Watkins-McKenzie)

December 15, 1937 – June 5, 2023

On Monday, June 5, 2023, Pat Chambers, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother left us here on earth and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven at the age of 85.

Pat was born on December 15, 1937, in Waldo Arkansas to Dewey and Katie Watkins. She was the youngest of 5 children, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She ventured out of her small town right after high school graduation to St. Louis, Missouri and worked for Southwestern Bell. She was married to Homer McKenzie for 25 years and they had 2 children, Angela and Steve. She spent the younger years of their lives being a stay-at-home mom and later worked with Prudential Insurance during her career years. She remarried in 1983 to Albert Chambers and they built a home in Slidell, Louisiana where they lived for 6 years. She was widowed in 1990 and remained single until death. After she retired, she ventured out into the mission field for 3 years, serving Guatemala and Venezuela. Pat had a passion for life and serving God. She desired all to know Jesus as she did. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, Homer McKenzie and Albert Chambers. She is survived by her children and their families.

            Grandchild: Beth Vincent, and husband Mike (3 children)

                        Great Grandchildren: Emma, Seth, and Luke

            Grandchild: Johnathan Leiber, and wife Alyssa (3 children)

                        Great Grandchildren: Bennett, Harrison, and Eleanor

Son: Steve McKenzie, and wife Heather (5 children)

            Grandchild: Samantha Ortbals, and husband Ryan (1 child)

                        Great Grandchild: Brody

            Grandchild: Shannon Bannister, and husband Ryan (3 children)

                        Great Grandchildren: Parker, Savannah, and Blake

            Grandchild: Drew Moersch

            Grandchild: Alex Moersch, and wife Morgan

            Grandchild: Cody McKenzie
