Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or St. Joseph West Cardiac Pulmonary Rehab. Paul P. Didion, Jr., of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 82. Dearest husband of the late Ellen F. Didion (nee: Mueller); dear son of the late Paul P., Sr. and Mary Didion; devoted father of John (Linda) Didion, Stephen (Theresa) Didion, Judith (Daniel) Fetsch, Daniel (Michelle) Didion and Susan (Dean) Orf; beloved grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 14; dear brother of Eugene (Marueen) Didion, John (Ruth Ann) Didion, Mary Lee (Jerald) McKean and the late Arthur and Charles Didion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Paul P. will be missed not only by his family, but by the many lives he touched throughout his years as a businessman, civic leader and philanthropist. Paul P. led the growth of Didion & Sons Foundry Company from its move to St. Peters, Missouri from St. Louis County in 1967 and along the way, built many close relationships with vendors and customers. He helped lead many causes for economic growth in St. Charles, St. Peters and O'Fallon, Missouri including the start up and development of two branches of Mark Twain Bank and the development of the St. Peters Rec-Plex. Paul P. was an active member of the Board of Directors of the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood as well as a contributor and participant of the Loyal Order of the Squirrels. Until his death, he was active in various business, civic and charitable boards.
