Shannon (nee: LaPlant), St. Peters, MO, July 24, 2003, age 53. She fought cancer with grace and dignity, courage and a sense of humor. For 13 years she has proven to be an inspirational hero to so many. Beloved wife of Gene Shannon; loving daughter of Paul and Pauline LaPlant; dear mother of Gina and Patrick Shannon; dear sister of Carol Bennett (Bill), Robert LaPlant (Tammy) and Richard LaPlant (Sharon); daughter-in-law of James Shan-non; dear aunt and sis-ter-in-law. Mrs. Shannon was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
