Peggy Geraldine Stringer Billington, age 88 of St. Ann, Missouri, entered the gates of heaven on April 19, 2021, and into the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. Those reuniting with her there, while thrilled to see her, may be disappointed that she did not bring along some of her famous pie. Her trademark was to bless others with sweet treats. No one ever left her home hungry.
Peggy was a devoted wife, loving mother and giving friend. Her charitable spirit reflected itself through her teaching of children at church, singing in the choir and most importantly, her interceding in prayer for others. The love of Jesus was her stabilizing force and she shared His Truth with everyone.
This beautiful Child of God, Peggy, is no longer an orphan. As the last earthly member of her generation, she has joined her eternal family. With much anticipation, she is greeting those who have preceded her: parents, Alan and Sarah Stringer; five brothers; two sisters; husband, Thomas Glen Billington, Sr.; and son, Lonny Billington.
Peggy is survived by her children, Thomas (Connie) Billington, Jr. of St. Ann, Ron (Linda) Billington of Overland, Don (Joni) Billington of Wentzville, and Bonnie (Dean) Billington Brooks of St. Charles; daughter-in-law, Anita Billington of Maryland Heights; as well as 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Peggy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to
Alzheimer’s Association.
