Peggy is also preceded in death by her son, Douglas Staley; and three brothers.
Sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Peggy and Bernie were married for 55 years; aside from being husband and wife, they were so much more. They were each other’s best friends and could always be found together. If you knew Bernie, then you also knew Peggy. Chic Fil A and Culvers were eateries that Peggy and Bernie frequented on lunch dates and often enjoyed dinner out. Their profound love did not go unnoticed by family, friends, and everywhere they traveled in between. Their love is an excellent example for all. Peggy loved her family, but most of all, she loved her title as Grandma, Gma, and Grammy. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
She loved basket weaving, and she was a fantastic cook. Cooking was something Peggy greatly enjoyed, and she was known for her carrot cake. Every Christmas, Peggy, and Bernie would make six different batches of cookies together, which were decorated and made from scratch. She liked arranging flowers, which she did as a career. Peggy loved to shop, and she had an eye for decorating. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Peggy's name to
