Penny Ann Hlavaty

Hlavaty, Penny, age 40, of O'Fallon, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. A Daughter of Othmar Berkbuegler and Nancy Berkbuegler, Penny was born on October 31, 1971, in Perryville, Missouri. She married her husband, Rudolf Joseph Hlavaty on October 2, 1993 in Beihle, Missouri and together they were blessed with three beautiful children, Abigail Katelyn Hlavaty, Madeline Paige Hlavaty and Rudolf Joseph Hlavaty II. Penny was the cherished sister of Randy (Lavonna) Berkbuegler and Roger (Alice) Berkbuegler; daughter-in-law of Barbara Hlavaty; sister-in-law, of Tammy (Tom) Macher, Bill (Cheri) Hlavaty, Lonnie (Tina) Hlavaty and Sue (John) Ruby. Penny was a loving aunt, cousin and dear friend to anyone that knew her. Penny was preceded in death by four grandparents. Penny worked as a Customer Service Representative with Midwest Medical Supply in Earth City. She was a member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation with "Team Penny"; Softball Coach for various teams; and a fighter until the end. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 AM, December 19, 2011 by Rev. Barry Ivie, at St. Charles River Church, 810 Westwood Industrial Park Dr., St. Charles, MO. Interment at St. Charles Memorial Gardens. Immediately following the burial, the family would like to invite guests to share in a time of food and fellowship, 1:00 PM at the Elks Lodge in O'Fallon.
