Phillip John Hampel

Phillip John Hampel, age 75, of St. Charles, Missouri, November 30, 2017. Beloved husband of 50 years to Jean F. Hampel; cherished son of the late Richard P. and Katherine T. Hampel; devoted father of Daryl (Angie) Hampel, Gayle (John) Rozmaryn, Kyle (Katie) Hampel, and Jenyl (Paul) Hart; loving grandfather of Dylan, Sofia, Clara, Peter, Ellen, Aaron, Lydia, Hazel, Andrew, and Oliver; and treasured brother of Karen (Gary) Sims, Paula (the late Tim) Jones, Starr (Steve) Himmel. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Phillip, originally from Nescopeck, PA, attended Penn State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He retired after 30 years with ACF Industries in St. Charles. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and Men’s Club. Phillip enjoyed trains, camping, fishing, bowling, golfing, and was an avid sports fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
