Phyllis L. Lohmar

Phyllis L. Lohmar (nee Neal), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the age of 97. Loving wife of 68 years to the late William T. Lohmar, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late George Neal, Charlie and Rachel Davis; devoted mother of Marilyn (Lloyd) Delaney and William T. “Bill” (Shirley) Lohmar, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Tim Lohmar, Stacey (Jay) Stack, and Lori (Sean) Murphy; treasured great-grandmother of Drew, Sidney, Brooklyn, Reese, and Hazel; dearest sister of Janet Hueckel; sister-in-law of Sharon Neal; dear aunt and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her husband, son, and three brothers, George Neal, Earl Neal, and Jim Neal.

Phyllis was an active member of the St. Louis County V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She received her Registered Nurse’s Degree from Missouri Baptist Hospital. Phyllis retired from St. Louis County Health Department where she worked as a registered nurse and she continued to work in senior health care after retirement. She loved playing volleyball, cards, and watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Above all else, she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends. Phyllis was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
