Kent Gracey of St. Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday, March 21, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Salley Gracey.
Kent is survived by his beloved wife, Judi Gracey; his children, Tom (Tammie) Gracey, Megan (Gary) Currant, and Ethan (Brittani) Gracey; and his grandchildren, Tawny (Ryan) Gracey-Smith, Taryn (Kenny) Pilcic, Easton Gracey, and Everett Gracey; and his cousins, Wally (Rose) Wilson, Phyllis (Ken) Pitts, and Kathy (Jim) Kish.
Kent was the president of the O’Niel Scale Company in Florida and sold the scale used to weigh the racecars at the Indy 500, a race he got to take his family to watch. His love of the water and boating led him to become a member of the Mississippi Valley Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society and to restoring wood boats for sale. He took pride and interest in his community and dedicated his time and talents as a member of the Festival of Little Hills committee and as a parishioner at Immanuel Lutheran church. Kent was a true handyman and self-taught man capable of building or fixing anything through research including family homes and furniture. Friends and family will always love and miss Kent dearly.
