Rachel J. Henke Harlan (nee: Teacutter) of High Hill, MO, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the age of 73. Beloved wife of the late Vernon Henke; cherished daughter of the late Cecil and Ruby Teacutter; devoted mother of Alex Harlan, Terry (Sharon) Lewelling, Keith (the late Karen) Henke, Kevin Henke, Timothy Henke, Joseph Henke, Jason (Christy) Henke, Kenneth Harlan, Kalvin Harlan, and Kaden Harlan; loving grandmother of Amanda, Jessica (Charles), Jacquelyn (Dennis), Keena (Tyler), P.J., Campbell, Sammie, Connor, and Camryn; treasured great-grandmother of Jasmin, Alexis, Rebeca, Delilah, Lucas, Emerich, Owen, and Bella; dear sister of Nona (Cliff) Collins, Fay Teacutter, Linda Joe Holt, the late Harold “Sonny” Teacutter, and the late Bonnie Ridgeway; and special friend of Patty and Tiffany Tripp. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Thomas A. Harlan, Sr.
Rachel was a feisty, fun-loving, and militant lady. She was very involved with her sons' sports, and coached them to a baseball championship. She never met a stranger, and everyone knew her as “Mom.” She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
