Rachel Marsh

July 14, 1989 — October 26, 2018

Rachel Denise Marsh, born July 14, 1989 in Sainte Genevieve, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018 in St. Charles, MO following a heroic 6-month fight against cancer. She will be deeply missed and always loved by her mother and father, Denise and Chris Marsh of St. Charles; her brothers Benjamin and Aaron Marsh, of St. Louis, MO; her grandparents Chris and Gail Oetting of Carthage, MO and Charles and Ruth Marsh of Marshall, MO, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and all her Stefanina's friends and co-workers. Rachel loved animals, especially her pet cat of 15 years, Chubs.

She was a 2012 graduate with honors in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a 3-year member of the dance team at St. Charles High, as well as being a member of the National Honors Society and an outstanding academic Senior. Her friends described her as quiet until she got to know you and then could be “spicy” and was nicknamed “Chief”. All who knew her found that she had “wisdom beyond her years”, a creative soul, and steadfast understanding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rachel’s name to the St. Louis Zoo to honor her love of animals.
