Rachel Smelser

Rachel Smelser (nee Konopnicki), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of John Smelser; cherished daughter of Stanley and Tina Konopnicki; devoted mother of Tiffini (Andrew) Countaway; dear sister of the late William "Bill" Konopnicki PhD. and the late Daniel Konopnicki PhD.

Rachel was a faithful member of United Pentecostal Church International and served the Lord as a minister's wife for over 50 years. Rachel taught elementary school, played the piano and organ, and took great joy in sharing her photography. She took her civic duty seriously and was instrumental in planning the St. Charles Centennial Celebration and was involved in many political efforts. She was a published writer and had a Facebook page, "Immeasurably More." Rachel was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
