Ralph C. Elmendorf

Ralph C. Elmendorf, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Frances Elmendorf (nee Knoblauch); son, Tim; grandson, Clinton; and great grandson, Chase; and his 9 siblings. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Elmendorf (nee Bethmann); his children Charlie (Marilyn), Bill (Tracy), Terry (Carol); his loving grandchildren Cory (Jackie) Elmendorf, Andrew (Gina) Elmendorf, Kyle (Angie) Elmendorf, Leanne Elmendorf, Jennifer (Nigel) Kinworthy, Andrea (Kramer) Soderberg, Jeremy (Christie) Elmendorf, and Megan (Mark) Wandersee; his treasured great grandchildren Ava, Harper, Nolan, Aubrey, Brenner, Layton, Jaelynne, Adelynne, Brooklynne, Clinton, Beau, Emmarie, Krayton, Finley, Paisley, Brody, Wesley, Hudson, and Parker. Ralph’s life was defined by his devotion to his faith, family, and service to his community. He was a proud member of St. Peter Catholic Church for his entire life. He had a passion for service and helped lead many parish fundraising activities including Lenten fish fries, parish picnic chicken dinners and sausage dinners. Ralph also served on the parish council and helped Betty manage the parish center. He was an active member of Duchesne High School and was passionate about supporting the community in general. He also held several positions serving the St Charles City government. Ralph’s 45+ year work life centered on the automotive industry. Ralph loved the outdoors, sports and working on projects to help others. He always made everybody feel like somebody. He was a friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial contributions to be made in Ralph’s honor to St. Peter Parish or BJC Foundation for Hospice.
