Ralph E. Hummel

Ralph E. Hummel of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday, October 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Hummel; his siblings, Eugene (Shirley) Hummel, Robert (Virginia) Hummel, George (the late Katherine) Hummel, and Virginia (Woody) Klinger; and his half-sister, Marie Hummel.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Hummel; his children, Renee (Michael) Tucker, and Kenneth Hummel; his sister, Peggy (the late Richard) Reisenger; his half-siblings, Dennis (Debbie), Betty-Jo (Ken), Debbie (Steve), and Jimmy; and his many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Ralph served his country as a veteran of the US Army and retired from Henges Interiors after a successful thirty-five years with the company. He was fond of playing horseshoes and enjoyed the games and company at the Quail Ridge Horseshoe Club. Playing cards with friends or shooting pool were other ways Ralph liked to pass the time, but above everything he loved spending time with his family and making memories with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial contributions in Ralph’s name may be made to the American Lung Association.
