Ralph James Maier

Ralph James Maier, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at the age of 93. Loving husband of the late Doris May Maier; beloved son of the late Harry and Marie Maier; devoted father of Randy (Patty) Maier, Janis Hill, and Curt (Renee) Maier; proud grandfather of Katie (Matt) Poleos, Kelly (Megan Stewart) Maier, Scott (Megan) Maier, Curt Dodson, Evanne (Kyle) Ihnken, Savannah Maier, and Mason Maier; treasured great-grandfather of Ella, Aspen, Ethan, Hunter, and twins on the way; cherished brother of Harry (Joan) Maier, Jr. and the late Robert Maier; and dear brother-in-law of Ginny Maier.

Ralph proudly served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. He loved golfing and playing tennis. He also enjoyed music and playing the drums in the band The Tune Smyths. Most of all, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for being a dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ralph’s honor to the Humane Society of Missouri.
