Randall Jay Ferber was welcomed into his eternal home in heaven June 2, 2020. Randy was born July 20, 1952, the first child of Donald and Mary Jo Ferber. He went to Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1970. He earned a degree in physics from University of Missouri St. Louis, married the love of his life in 1975, and worked for Apple Computer from 1986 to 2013.
Randy loved the beach, swimming, skiing, traveling, and Cardinals baseball. He was a prolific photographer. He met his best friend Bob Pickering in first grade. They shared a love of music, especially jazz, and with their wives celebrated New Years Eve together for 50 years. Randy exemplified a Christian faith through honesty, generosity, humility, and compassion. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Orchard Farm, where he served as an Elder.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife Rebecca (nee Hommes), daughter Andrea, son Aaron, daughter-in-law Christine, grandchildren Eva, Brecken, and Liliana; brothers Tim and Patrick, and many more family and friends, including nine godchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Abigail, and his parents. He is remembered for his intelligence, optimism, and dramatic readings of Dr. Seuss books.
