Ray Bedwell, Jr.

Bedwell, Ray Jr., of Saint Charles, MO, died on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at the age of 73. Loving husband of Kay Bedwell (nee: Hopkins); beloved son of the late Ray, Sr. and Edna Bedwell; devoted father of Chris (Sarah) Bedwell; cherished grandfather of Devilyn Bedwell, Brendan and Jackson Bedwell, and Charlotte Ann Bedwell (on the way); many extended family members Jane (Robert Clausen) Hopkins, Annis H. (Nancy D. Marti) Hopkins, Tom (Deb Elam) Hopkins, and Kevin (Lori Mavis) Hopkins; treasured uncle of Laurie (Kevin McCusker) Annis, Rebecca Clausen, Andrew (Lily) Clausen, Jeremy (Brigette) Hopkins, Jacob (Lori) Hopkins, Jess (Jamie) Hopkins-Bain, Megan Hopkins, and Eric Hopkins; great uncle of Christiana Morgan, Angelica Morgan, Cierra Morgan, John Morgan, Trinity Morgan, Taran McCusker, Grace Pearl Clausen, Angelikka Hopkins, Madelyn Hopkins, Kingston, Harlow, and Abigail Hopkins; Ray was also survived by many “adopted” children and grandchildren, numerous Corvette, go-kart, and community friends. Preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ann Crossman and daughter, Rae Ann Bedwell.

Ray was a member of the International Association of Machinists Aerospace Workers Union and was with them for over 45 years before retiring. He was also a member of the Boone Trail Corvette club. Ray loved riding his Harley, working on his race car, completing on home improvement projects, and spending time with his family. Ray was loved deeply and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
