Ray Edward Vance, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the age of 89. Loving husband of Linda B. Vance; cherished son of the late George and Vera Vance; devoted father of Debbie Vance, Becky (the late Gary) McKenzie, Lonnie (Jan) Vance, Connie (Doug) Ruff, and Patty (Mark) Forchee; cherished grandfather of Brian Stultz, Ryan McKenzie, Jennifer (Bill) Bailey, Courtney (Zack) Welch, Landon (Claryssa) Vance, Lindsay  (Mitch DuRoss) Vance, Dustin  (Amy) Ruff, and Madalyn Ruff; treasured great-grandchildren Madelaine, Mckenzie, Lillian, Evelyn, Sadie, and Jolene; dear brother of Robert (the late Bess) Vance, and Audrey (the late Gene) Conrad; he is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ray is also preceded in death by his brother, George Vance Jr.

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a dedicated Aircraft Mechanic for Ozark Airlines for many years. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, he found joy in traveling and camping across the nation, exploring its National Parks. His cherished moments were spent with his grandchildren, particularly the times at the lake. Ray was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Ray's name to Vietnam Veterans of America or the Disabled American Veterans
