Raymond Anthony Metzger

Memorials may be made to Masses. Metzger, Raymond Anthony "Ray", of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Lucille M. Metzger; dear son of the late Edward and Clara Metzger; dear step-father of Virgil (Barbara) Dion, Jr. and James Dion; dear father of Gerald "Jerry" Metzger, Nancy Allen, Joan (Keith) Willey and Joyce (Mark) Gamby; darling grandfather of six and step-grandfather of 8; dear brother of Brother Paul Metzger, S.M. and the late Florence (Gene) Donze, Edward Metzger and Claire (Melvin) Etling. He was our dear brother-in-law and uncle. Ray was employed as a Delivery Man at UPS for 10 years before his retirement and had the distinction of being the first retiree in the state of Missouri, a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and former member of All Souls Parish in Overland, MO, Knights of Columbus Lady of Fatima #4429, 4th Degree, Bishop Wurm Assembly #2012, St. Robert Bellarmine Men's Club, retired Teamster, Local #688; worked for 35 years at Stix Baer & Fuller; worked for Nettie's Flowers on Saturday weekends and holidays.
