Raymond J. Powers

Raymond J. Powers of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on Friday July 27, 2018, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 60 wonderful years to Nancy D. Powers; cherished son of the late William and Catherine Powers; devoted father of Michael Powers and Jill Johnston; loving grandfather of Emily Johnston, Caroline Powers, Madeline (Jimmy) Spraul, Charlie Powers, and Anne Powers; dear brother of Robert (Angie) Powers and Shirley Stolle. Raymond is preceded in death by his brother William Powers, son-in-law Pat Johnston, brother-in-law Art Stolle, sister-in-law Kay Powers. Ray is also survived by a cherished great-grandchild on-the-way, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Ray was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He proudly represented his country with honor in the United States Navy, and served during the Korean War. He was a longtime parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and in his free time Ray loved to play golf. He will be remembered by his family and friends as an honorable and selfless man, who was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Raymond was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions in Ray’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
