Raymond L. Bowers

Raymond L. Bowers of Dittmer, MO, passed away at the age of 89 on Thursday, July 9, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Bowers; his daughter, Donna Jensen; and his parents, Paul and Maude Bowers.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Anita Bowers; his sons, William "Billy" (Kathy) Bowers and James (Diane) Bowers; his grandchildren, Jennifer McCord, Steve Bowers, Donna Herter, Angie Tew, Drew Jensen, and Emma Jensen; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Pauline (Bill) Gill; his stepchildren, Patricia (Tom) McCoy, and Paula Duncan; his step-grandchildren, Tricia Palazzolo, Ronald Delashmet, Eric Sallee, Kelsey Tournear, and Charly McCoy; and several step-great-grandchildren.

Raymond was a faithful member of Church of Christ in House Springs, Missouri. He was a passionate fan of the St. Louis Blues and, with his family, belonged to the Bowers Blues Fan Club. Raymond was fond of other sports as well, enjoying golfing or bowling whenever he could in addition to playing basketball while in high school. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial contributions in Raymond’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
