Reinhard F. Poeppelmeier
March 7, 1921 — March 15, 2018
Reinhard F. Poeppelmeier of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the age of 97. Loving husband of 73 years to Marie Poeppelmeier (nee: Sunderhuse); beloved son of the late Charles and Lydia Poeppelmeier; devoted father of Charles (Linda) Poeppelmeier, Kenneth (Maria) Poeppelmeier, Lois (William) Leslie, and David (Kimberly) Poeppelmeier; cherished grandfather of Christian (Jenn) Poeppelmeier, Adam (Lara) Poeppelmeier, Neal (Lauren) Poeppelmeier, Mark Poeppelmeier, Audrey (Travis) Schafer, and Deanna (Peter) Verchick; treasured great-grandfather of Lily, Liam, Sophie, Emmitt, and James Peter Poeppelmeier, Eva and Mila Schafer, and Freida and Cora Verchick; dear brother of Oletha (the late Oscar) Brunk.
Reinhard was also preceded in death by his siblings Lawrence (Josephine) Poeppelmeier, Verna (Fred) Schafer, Hilda (Jim) Conti, Erwin Poeppelmeier, and Emil (Virginia) Poeppelmeier.
Reinhard enjoyed gardening and fishing, and he went on many fishing trips around Missouri. He played pinochle with his wife at community socials. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
