Renee Risher Loewenberg

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Renee Risher Loewenberg Scholarship Fund at Mississippi University for Women Foundation, 1100 College Street MUW 1618, Columbus, Mississippi 39701. This scholarship will be awarded annually for the student who is the first in her family to attend MUW. Renee Risher Loewenberg, after a long battle with Azheimers passed away on September 28, 2007 in Vandalia, Missouri. She was born November 29, 1935 in Meridian, Mississippi. Daughter of the late John Alphonsus Risher and Irene Pacetti Risher. Loving wife of 43 years to Bruce J. Loewenberg; dear aunt of Stephanie Risher and Al Risher both of Houston, Texas and Steven Risher of Memphis, Tennessee. Preceded in death by her brothers, James and John Risher. Renee was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. She was an American Airlines Flight Attendant in Dallas, Texas until her marriage to Bruce Loewenberg in 1964. After moving to St. Charles, Missouri she was a long time Librarian for the Francis Howell School District. She loved reading, the theater, and her cats.
