Rev. Roy E. Stanfill

Rev. Roy E. Stanfill of St. Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday, January 23, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Osa Stanfill; his brother, Trentis Stanfill; and his grandson, Tony Raposo.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Mary Lou Stanfill; his children, Rebecca "Becky" L. (Darryl) Raposo and Randall "Randy" E. (Ruth) Stanfill; his siblings, Patsy (Jim) Kennedy, Ralph "Bud" (Joyce) Stanfill, and Marilyn (Dennis) Mintner; his grandchildren, Polly (Brock) Vandever, Josh (Alicia) Raposo, Andrew (Christy) Stanfill, and Micah Raposo; his great-grandchild, Emerson Stanfill; and he was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Church and family were always the two most important things in Roy’s life and his faith gave him strength during the more than sixty years he served as a pastor. At church, Roy always had an enjoyable time running the church summer camp. He also worked at Lewis Pumps for twenty-four years. In his free time, Roy enjoyed fishing for whatever was biting that day but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
