Revis Haslett of O’Fallon, MO, formerly of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the age of 96. He was born July 17, 1922 in Brownstown in Fayette County Illinois to the late Harold and Emma (nee Sluder) Haslett.
Revis was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “ Bette” (nee Shyer) Haslett; son Stephen Haslett; daughter Victoria “Vicki” (Mike) Vater; and brother Randall Haslett.
He is survived by his loving companion JoAnn Felker of O’Fallon, MO and her family; granddaughters Shannon (Chris) Bellinghausen of Whitmore Lake, MI and Michelle (Neil) Martinez of Bristol; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Revis proudly served in the United States Military. First as Aviation Cadet from November of 1942 to May of 1943, then in Army Air Corps as 1st Lt. from May of 1944 to April of 1946 before honorably separating. He flew a B-25 and served in many campaigns such as: India-Burma, Central Burma, China Defense, and China Offense (WWII, C.B.I.) and earned several decorations.
Revis was of Catholic Faith. He dedicated many years with Humble Oil (Exxon) and Century 21 in Hot Springs Village, AR and owned real-estate offices in Oklahoma and Arkansas before retiring. He enjoyed travelling to many places and was always ready to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals or Collegiate Basketball teams. Revis will be remembered as a true gentleman. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Revis' name to BJC Hospice or organization of Donor's Choice. Private services will be held in Enid, OK at a later date.
