Richard A. “The Bear” Alge

Alge, Richard A. “The Bear”, of St. Charles, MO, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Sara Alge; cherished son of the late Ruth Stanton; dear stepson of the late Jim Stanton; devoted father of David (Nan) Alge, Moira (Bruce) Ernst, Susan Kinnison, Dan Alge, Tim Alge, and Michael Alge; cherished father-in-law of Mary Jo Alge; treasured stepfather of Stephen Knox (Aggie Hardcastle), Cynthia (Hossein) Shabany, and the late John Knox; loving grandfather of Samantha Alge, Brendan Kinnison, Julia Alge, Sara Shabany, and A.J. Shabany.

Richard proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved jazz music, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the St. Louis Rams. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Richard retired as a brewer from Anheuser Busch after many years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
