Richard Beckmann, 79, passed away on March 16, 2025, in Wentzville, Missouri.
Born on September 9, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, Richard dedicated his life to his family and his craft. He was a skilled plumber and a proud member of Local 562 for nearly 50 years. In May of 2003, he achieved the distinction of becoming a Master Plumber and took the bold step of opening his own company, Beckmann Plumbing Services LLC. Through hard work and dedication, he built a successful business where he worked until his well-earned retirement.
Richard found great joy in spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, a place that held a special significance throughout his life. Every summer was spent at the lake with his wife Carol and their three sons, creating cherished memories on the water. Later in life, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by building his ideal home at the lake, where he and Carol moved to live full-time. Watching his grandchildren enjoy the water brought him immense happiness.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Beckmann; his sons Craig (Stephanie) Beckmann, Mark (Kristen) Beckmann, and Chad (Stephanie) Beckmann; his adored grandchildren Molly, Noah, Shelby, Cole, Evan, and Alex. He is also survived by his brother Ron (Jan) Beckmann, brother-in-law Bruce (Sondra) Klaus, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mary Beckmann, and his sister Rosalie Weber.
Richard's legacy lives on through the family he loved and the many lives he touched through his work and friendships. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
