Richard Chief Vigil

Richard ''Chief'' Vigil was born on January 7, 1927 in Gary Indiana to Ephriam and Margaret Vigil. His loving parents preceded him in death. ''Chief'' was a member of the Masons and of the Shriners. He was active with the Elks, the Eagles and the Chancellors. Mr. Vigil was an assistant principal in the Fort Zumwalt School District. He retired in 1985. ''Chief'' is survived by his loving wife, Leah of O'Fallon Missouri, four sons, Richard of St. Charles Missouri, Mark of St. Paul Missouri, Scott of O'Fallon Missouri, and James of St. Charles Missouri, two sisters, Barbara Chunupa of Merrillville Indiana, and Pat Whitehead of O'Fallon Missouri, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Cecilia Carr.
