Dr. Richard D. James, age 54, of St. Peters, Missouri, died Monday, March 1, 2010, while on vacation in Belize. A son of Donald J. James and of the late late Mary C. Faulkner James, Richard was born on July 26, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri. Richard was married to his wife, Diane K. James (nee: LeClaire) at Friedens United Church of Christ, St. Charles, Missouri. Richard was a Graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic with doctorate August, 1978. He has been serving patients for the past 31 years. He currently serves as President of the Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, member of Missouri State Chiropractic Association and Political Action Committee. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Harvester Optimist Club, and the Anchor Yankor Boat Club. Richard D. is survived by his wife, Diane, his four sons’, Dr. Quinn (Kelly) James, Kirk (Heather and Austin Wright) A. James. Kent (Rebecca) R. James, and Garrett (Brittany Largent) D. James; his three grandchildren Kyle, Gavin, and Olivia who is expected any day; and his two sisters’, Donna Howard and Cheri Koenig. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on by Rev. Doug Kaufman, on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Friedens United Church of Christ, 1703 Hwy 94 South, St. Charles, MO. Interment at Friedens U.C.C. Cemetery, St. Charles, Missouri. Following Funeral Services, the family would like to invite guests to share in a time of food and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall at Friedens. Those wishing to honor Richard's memory may send memorial contributions in his name to Make a Wish or Friedens United Church of Christ.
