Richard D. Howell

Richard D. Howell, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 65 years to Vera J. “Jean” Howell; cherished son of the late Earl Howell and the late Vivian Seville; devoted father of Diana Hacker (Dan), Doug Howell (Kerri), Daughter in Law, Mary Howell and the late Terry Howell; dear brother of Kenneth Howell; He was adored by his 8 Grandchildren, Kara Counts (Tyler), Joe Howell, Colton Howell (Kellie), Alana Howell, Morgan Ernest (Brando), Audra Howell, Cody Hacker, and Nick Howell and 8 Great Grandchildren, Gwen, Aiden, Peyton, Grayson, Jason, Ember, Roman, and Charlie Maree. Richard is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Richard proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy and was a volunteer firefighter in O’Fallon for 30 years. He spent most of his time on the family farm, and was dedicated to working on the house or the farm. Richard loved to travel with Jean all over the world. He loved boating and water skiing. Richard always put his family first; he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
