Metz, Sr., Richard J. of St. Charles County, MO, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Shirley A. Metz; cherished son of the late Louis J. and Mildred Metz; devoted father of Richard J. (Jennifer) Metz, Jr. and Cynthia Metz (James) Cheever; loving grandfather of Chad A. (Megan) Metz, Emily D. Cheever, Andrew T. Metz, Reed L. Metz, and Grace E. Metz; treasured great-grandfather of Finnigan P. Metz; dear brother of the late Mildred Fornoff, Laverne Velker, and Louis Metz.
Richard was a devout Catholic all of his life. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus of Old Monroe. Richard was most proud of his time teaching Machine Shop at North County Tech School in St. Louis County. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
