Richard James Moffatt

Richard James Moffatt of Florissant, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy P. Moffatt; cherished son of the late Joseph and Adele Moffatt; devoted father of Richard Michael Moffatt, and Daniel James (Scarlett) Moffatt; loving grandfather of Kelly Moffatt, Allison Moffatt, Eve Moffatt, and Alexander Moffatt; treasured uncle of many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

Richard is also preceded in death by his twin brother Robert Moffatt, brothers Joseph Moffatt, Walter Moffatt, and sister Virginia Rice.

Richard proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was also a very skilled carpenter, and was a longtime member of the Carpenter's Union. Richard also enjoyed hunting, and he gave generously of his time helping his neighbors with handy-man jobs around their homes. Richard was a family man, and he cherished his time spent with family, especially get-togethers with extended family. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
