December 12, 1934 — September 17, 2018

Richard Leo Easton (AKA Pa-Pa)

Died September 17, 2018

At 83 years old from a brain hemorrhage.

Born December 12, 1934 in Poplar Bluff, MO and lived most of his life in the St. Louis area. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a young man. He married his precious bride Christine in 1982. Together they loved and raised 5 boys and were blessed with 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was an engineer and had been awarded 6 patents for inventing material handling equipment. Rich retired from Alvey Conveyor Inc. in 1995. He adored his family and spent much time with Christine babysitting grandkids, attending sporting events, birthday parties and hosting holidays. He was a great fan for his family but those who knew him know he LOVED those Cardinals. He was a dye hard cards fan. He always had a new statistic or a comment on the recent trades. It was a passion to talk and share his baseball knowledge. He shared MANY nights in his chair with his sweet lady by his side watching the Cards game for that day. He also loved boating, fishing, golfing and working on his yard and house. He was a man of courage and fought for life well all the way to the end. He was a man of great wisdom and knowledge. It was easy to be pulled into one of his deep conversations about politics, history and recent events. He has impacted his legacy greatly with his willingness to share his wisdom.

Rich will be missed by a large family of children, grandchildren, sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews, friends and all their spouses. But none will miss him as much as his lady Chris. After being side by side for 35 years she will long for that day that she will be by his side again.

Rich is preceded in death by his parents Margret and John Easton, his sons Rene Easton and Jay Easton, his brother John Easton and nephews John Easton and Bobby Burkett.

Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's honor to Disabled American Veterans.
