Richard McGeehan

McGeehan, Richard "Dick", of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the age of 80. Husband of Amelia L. McGeehan nee: Student; son of the late Daniel J. and Jennie McGeehan; father of Daniel (Angie) McGeehan, Richard McGeehan, Judy McGeehan, Debra Sparks and Melissa Shuttleworth; grandfather of Sam Thomason, Molly Thomason, Brandon McGeehan, Chelsea McGeehan, Paige Sparks and Hunter Sparks. Richard is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda McGeehan and his brother, James N. McGeehan. Richard was employed at ACF industries for forty years at eight various locations in five different states. He served eight years as Director of Purchasing at Carter Automotive Division in St. Louis. During that time he also was project manager for two years transferring production of Single Barrel Carburetors to North Carolina. He served five years as Director of Special Products at the Amcar Division in St. Charles. The balance of his service was in Purchasing at five locations. Richard was a member of Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Charles since 1969. Following his retirement in 1991 he was associated with the Gateway Section of the PGA on a part time basis assisting with tournament administration, for 14 years.
