Richard Merli, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the age of 77. Loving husband of Wilma Merli; beloved son of the late Adam and Gertrude Merli; devoted father of Chris (Lynn) Merli, Tim (Sue) Merli, Dorothy (Jim) Meagher, and Jeff (Mimi) Merli; dear brother of Esther Huber, John (Pat) Merli, Josephine (Ed) Ficke, and Mary Merli; cherished grandfather of Rachel (Vaughn) Butler, Aaron Meagher, Michelle Merli, Joe Meagher, Dale (Kelly) Olguin, and Audrie (Richard) Olguin; treasured great-grandfather of Lillian Butler and Gordon Olguin. Richard is preceded in death by his brother, Gus Merli; sister, Theresa Tourville.
Richard was a member at All Saints Catholic Church. He loved nature and was an avid camper and fisherman. He enjoyed bowling and collecting. Richard was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
