Richard Negri, born April 23, 1930, passed away May 14, 2021. Rich was born in Brooklyn, NY. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He will be remembered for his many accomplishments including earning his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree in Education. He had an esteemed career as a teacher, principal and administrator in the Hazelwood School District. Rich was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and had served many years as an elder, deacon and teacher.
He was an avid reader- keeping up with current events and reading 3-4 books per week from his Spencer Road Library.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Madeline, of 70 years, brothers Anthony and Dominic, children: Gary Negri and Susie Ahrens (Brian), grandchildren: Daniel Ahrens (Alicia) and Jessie Ahrens, and great-grandchild, Wyatt.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made in Richard's name to Evelyn's House at the Foundation for Barnes Jewish Hospital or St. Charles County City Library Foundation.
